Wei Li Assistant Professor

My main research focuses on the fundamental combustion of carbon-neutral fuels. Concerning the emerging demands for stable and clean combustion technologies, investigations are performed on the combustion reaction kinetics and reaction regulation of carbon-neutral fuels such as hydrogen, ammonia, renewable synthetic fuels and biofuels. Specifically, experimental and kinetic efforts are made on the deeper understanding of combustion characteristics over a wide range of engine-relevant conditions, the construction of predictable combustion kinetic models with wide-applicability, the exploration on contributing factors and controlling mechanisms of combustion reactivity and pollutant formation, and the development of combustion reaction regulation strategies for carbon-neutral fuels.
